BiblioRedes through the network of Public Libraries and Regional Laboratories, has formed a network of volunteers who, in a spontaneous and disinterested form have joined to the work of the Library with the community. The volunteer work of these people (senior citizens, youth, housewives, etc.). Has made the libraries and laboratories become more dynamic and proximity, which are meeting places and to transmit an image of the library as space participation and ownership of culture and local identity on the part of the community. How can I be volunteer? To join this enthusiastic group, just must to approach to the Public Library or Regional Laboratory in which you want to collaborate to check for available capacity. In simple steps: 1.- Go to the Public Library or Regional Laboaratories in that you are interested to collaborate. 2.- Talk about your interest in working with the Head of the Library or with the Manager of the Regional Laboratory. 3.- If you are invited to participate like volunteer, establish your time availability and remember which will be your works. How can I help? Each Library or Regional Laboratory has special needs and which may require collaboration. On the one hand you can rely on the traditional library tasks such as organizing books, customer service, on the other side there are tasks that have been incorporated to the Library: cultural outreach activities in support computer courses, promotion of local content community, among many others. | What are my rights and duties as a volunteer? As a volunteer you are entitled to training and education required for the exercise of your functions in the library or lab, you are also entitled to participate actively in all activities where you give your voluntary action and to recognize your support in different ways. Your duties are fulfill with the commitments that obtain you with the Library or Laboratory in that you are colaborating, participate in the training tasks and education that we’ll give you and respect and care the material resources that the library, laboratory or the BiblioRedes Program make available to you to fulfill your duties. Requirements The only requirements for participation are be enthusiastic, have a young spirit regardless of age and willingness to learn.
